Introducing...

So basically this is to introduce myself as wonderful, amazing, patriotic, socially deviant young woman from some major tribe in Nigeria who is seeking to change the country with  her unique voice…. *beep* WRONG!!!!

On the contrary, my name is Achenyo Otigba ( a mouthful, I know) a not so young, not so patriotic, Igala (resentful minority tribe) person who was genuinely looking for a way to buff up my very, very scant CV when I volunteered for Light Up Nigeria. Although I was an Electrical Engineering major, I didn’t know a noun (name, place person or thing) as concerning the power industry in Nigeria. Not surprisingly, the Nigerian school system teaches nothing of what actually obtains outside of a chalk and blackboard explanation of C++! So here I was (and still am) a newbie, greenhorn, whatever on the issues that concern power in Nigeria.

But here’s what so great about me, I’m you. I’m the typical Nigerian; ignorant and blissful in our lack of information and all our grandiose ideas on what is really wrong with our country. So I can assure you that this blog (and all the matters related to it hereafter) will be from YOUR point of view, and IN a language that you can understand. No political propaganda (GEJ please don’t give me an offer I can’t refuse!), no acronyms left unexplained, just the demystification of the mystery of “light” in Nigeria.

So get ready to *drumroll*…..#lightupnigeria!!! (in other words, please come back and read what I have to say…pretty please?)
